This is my cat.

He knows what he wants.

He stands by the door when he wants us to go out.

He stands by his bowl when he wants food.

He comes to sit on us when he wants a hug.

He plays when he wants to play,

Walks away when he has had enough

and sleeps when he wants to sleep.

We humans could learn a thing or two from cats.

How would life be if we:

Went out when we wanted to,

Ate when we were hungry,

Got hugs when we needed them,

Played more, alone and with others,

and didn’t feel bad about walking away when we had had enough?

What if we were as clear as a cat about what we wanted

and what we didn’t.

How would it be to live a little more tabby?
